David Toney graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 and initially pursued a career in property management, but soon redirected his focus to the construction industry.

He had an innate entrepreneurial spirit, and this shift proved to be a pivotal move for their family. Founded in 1994, Toney Construction had humble beginnings in their 1,500-square-foot home in Cypress, TX. David and Linda had a tight financial situation, managing their business while raising their three young children.

Their dedication to the business was truly a family affair. Today, each of their children plays a vital role within the company, carrying forward the legacy that David started.

In 2020, after David’s passing, Toney became a woman-owned business, with his son Derek now handling operations. Despite the challenges and changes, Toney has grown from its modest beginnings of just two employees to now employing approximately 50 individuals. This growth and success are a testament to the resilience and dedication that define the Toney Construction Services legacy.
